The person I spoke to it was like he was really interested and he said he put a not on for my doctor to give me a call and he didn't send it over so was left in pain
Na
You didn’t call me within expected timescales. I eventually received a call from a GP over 5 hours after my initial call to NHS 111 & ended up seeking the support of the walk in centres in Skelmersdale & Ormskirk. The out of hours GP’s were based in the Ormskirk Walk In Centre and despite being told by NHS 111 that they had spoken to someone in the out of hours GP service & arranged for them to see me and my son together, the Walk In Centre staff saw my son and I was sent away to another Walk In Centre with a shorter wait time. An out of hours GP eventually called me whilst I was at the Skelmersdale Walk In Centre, did not provide any help and was quite rude, suggesting the situation was of my own making; which it was not. The communication and treatment was poor.
I had lost my pain medication and was told I had to speak to a GP as it was pain medication before I rang. I FINALLY got through and was not told much Information about what would happen next. I explained as it was pain medication I would need ti speak to a GP. She said “Someone would be in touch” I got a call at midnight and at 6am. I was finally sorted at 6am by out of hours GP
I was very unsure whether or not I needed medical attention so using the nhs questions it guided me to an out of hours gp and I was very lucky from their advice they sent me to Southport a&e from their to find out I could be dealing something more serious than I thought. If it wasn’t for the out of hours gp I would have ignored it leaving my condition to worsen.
No conditions
The GP answered all our questions with no problem and treated us with respect. He acknowledged our concerns and validated our feelings
I had a timely and responsive intervention
came in late night, the nurse who i spoke to told me i had appendicitis. just sent me home and told me to wait till it gets worse and she wouldn’t help me until it did. no care advise or written documents. 24 hours ended up back in a&e. she said i didn’t look unwell enough to be seen properly by doctors in a&e
Very good care, went to walk in centre after attempting and failing to get appointment via 111. (It took 9 hours for 111 to call me back.)
The receptionist wasnt kind and caring, quite formal . The first nurse was ok but didn’t explain that I would be seeing a nurse practitioner.
Communication could be improved.
The high scores were given for the excellent care and communication by the nurse practitioner
